Classic Italian furniture — whether it’s a completely custom dining table, or something simply plucked from a collection at the Milan furniture fair — is what we do everyday. Being so close it, I often forget how cool it is that we can help our clients get that classic Italian look, craftsmanship and quality so simply. Helping a couple in the deep South realize their special vision for an 18′ Italian dining table (with seating for 20) recently got me reflecting on it though…
As an online “store”, we’re accustomed to guiding clients through the process of designing and obtaining their dream dining room from a distance: one of our largest markets is more than 1,900 miles from our showroom in Minneapolis; and we’ve worked with clients as far away as the UK, Russia, and Singapore. And while it’s generally true that getting true classic Italian furniture, made to order just for you can involve some waiting, recently we were able to get a client her new 12 foot custom dining table (with seating for 14) in only 6 weeks. That direct link — minimizing the distance between clients here at home and craftsmen in Italy — is one of the big advantages of getting Italian furniture online.
On the other hand, we’re able to complement that online advantage with good old fashioned offline relationships (with our clients, and with our suppliers) and outstanding customer service. So while our clients may find us online, once we connect they come to know a company that’s been doing this for years, has a Better Business Bureau “A” rating, and has the personal level of service to oversee every aspect of their new furniture’s complete journey from concept to production to delivery in their home.
Classic Italian furniture. It’s just what we do.
